iPhone 3.1.3 Software update

iPhone OS 3.1.3 Update Brings Jailbreak Woes

Apple released version 3.1.3 of the iPhone operating system (OS) on Tuesday, much to jailbreakers dismay. The update, which is available now via iTunes, fixes a number of known bugs, patches known security issues, and improves various iPhone features. However, despite the good news for the majority of regular iPhone owners, the upgrade has posed something of a problem for those who have taken the notorious jailbreaking route.

Popular jailbreaking tools Redsn0w, Blackra1n, and PwnageTool are currently not compatible with version 3.1.3. The jailbreaking community was quick to warn jailbreak users not to update to the most recent iPhone OS release, especially if your device is the 3G or 3GS model. This forewarning comes just one day after the Redsn0w tool received an upgrade that made it work with iPhone OS 3.1.2.

The jailbreaking community is advising users to not update their devices, and recommend that jailbreakers play the patience game until their tools of choice are all up to speed.

What has your experience been like if you have a jailbroken iPhone?Let us know in the comments.

TweetGlobe

The new twitter iPhone app, TweetGlobe, shows a 3D global view of all twitter users. Instead of just seeing the username and message of Twitter updates, users will see where in the world the people they are following are located. This app uses a 3D animated globe rendered on the screen of any iPhone or iPod Touch.

The iPhone has a new app available and it involves keeping track of your tweets with reference to the new web sensation Twitter. Normally, people only get to see the person and the message but have no idea where in the world it comes from.

Optionally, TweetGlobe can also determine any user’s specific location using GPS. Posting an update through TweetGlobe will use the iPhone’s built in GPS to determine exactly where any user is tweeting from.

Now that should be very helpful for businesses and people who want to know where strange tweets are coming from. The app can be purchased from the Apple app store for $0.99.

With Tweetglobe, you can trace them as far as the point of origin of the Tweet, using a 3D animated globe rendered on the screen of any iPhone or iPod Touch.TweetGlobe also acts as a fast and simple Twitter client that allows anyone to reply to incoming tweets or post new ones on-the-fly, as well as view the Twitter public timeline.

Brain Boost Multiply - iPhone App Store

Brain Boost Multiply is an educational game to help improve your math skills(multiplication tables). You go through the levels(from 1-12). So level 1 teaches gives you random questions that include 0s and 1s. . .level 2 gives you questions that include 0s, 1s, and 2s. . .etc.

The application tracks which questions you get right/wrong and how long it took you to answer it. If you just want to practice a particular # you can do that by picking the level you want to play.
